Betty Crocker Cookbook (the one my mother used faithfully throughout my childhood and beyond!)
Mix thoroughly.................. 3/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup soft butter 1 egg
Stir in 1/2 cup milk
Sift together and stir in............. 2 cups flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt
Carefully blend in 2 cups well-drained blueberries
Spread batter in greased and floured 9" square pan.
Sprinkle top with:
CRUMB MIXTURE
Mix........ 1/2 cup sugar 1/3 cup sifted GOLD MEDAL flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 cup soft butter
BAKE 45 - 50 minutes at 375 degrees. Serve warm, fresh from the oven.
