Chocolate Sheet Cake
-from my good friend, Jo Carolyn McVeigh In a large bowl, mix: 2 cups flour 2 cups sugar In a boiler, mix: 1 stick butter 1/2 cup cooking oil 4 T. cocoa 1 cup water Bring to a boil. Pour over flour & sugar; mix well. Combine 1/2 cup milk and 1-1/2 tsp. vinegar to make buttermilk. Add buttermilk and 2 eggs 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla Mix well. Pour into 9x13" sheet pan. Bake at 400 degrees for approx. 25 minutes. (If using a glass pan, bake at 375 for 35

Recipe from my bestie, Kim DeRose, which I have adapted. I doubled it to fit a 9x13” pan, and substituted butter for margarine. This is my version.
