These were my Aunt Laurel's favorite cookies when she was growing up, and I must say they were also one of mine!

Ingredients:

2 cups sifted flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. ground ginger 3/4 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1/4 cup molasses granulated sugar Cream butter, gradually add sugar, and cream until fluffy. Beat in egg and molasses. Combine flour, ginger, soda, cinnamon, and salt into sifter. Sift over creamed mixture, blending well. Form teaspoonfuls of dough into small balls by rolling lightly between palms of hands. Roll balls in granulated sugar to coat entire surface. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees, 12-15 minutes.
