Grammie Rand's Scotchies

1 cup unbleached flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 cup rolled oats 1/2 cup pecans, chopped 1 cup coconut


Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Cream butter and beat with sugar. Add egg & vanilla, and beat until light and fluffy. Stir in flour mixture, oats, pecans, and coconut. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten to 1/8" with bottom of glass dipped in flour. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.
