Cabbage Potato Steamer

Adjust amounts according to how many people you will be serving. This recipe is good for two good-sized servings.
Potatoes - (2-3 medium or 4-6 small) - cut into chunks 1/2 small to medium cabbage, cut into quarters 3 carrots, peeled and sliced and/or green beans 1/2 lb. smoked sausage, sliced
Place potatoes and carrots in steamer basket in large pot; bring water to boil, cover and cook for 10 minutes on medium high. Add cabbage, green beans, and sausage and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until all vegetables are barely soft.
Top with butter, sea salt, and seasoning of choice. Ranch dressing on the side or drizzled on top is also delicious.
This meal is an easy, nutritious, one-pot meal for a couple or a family. In addition to the cabbage and potatoes, add whatever vegetables and sausage you choose. This combination is what our family has enjoyed for years.
